Women’s Ordination Conference (WOC, “we,” “our,” “us”) places high priority on protecting your privacy of users of our website, applications, and other online and electronic services and accordingly maintains the following privacy policy to protect the personal information you provide online through our site www.womensordination.org

The information that you provide us can include, but is not limited to:

  • your contact information;

  • information you provide when submitting an employment/volunteer application; and
  • information you provide when you request information or contact us.

What We Do With This Information

The information you supply helps us better respond to your request(s). We only share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that activity (for example, a secure third party handles all online monetary donations).

We or our third-party vendors may use the information we collect from or about you through the Online Services or events for a number of purposes, including, but not limited to:

  • providing you with products, resources, or information you request;
  • processing any transactions you have authorized;
  • contacting you about fundraising campaigns, events, or advocacy efforts;
  • processing an employment, internship, or volunteer application;
  • providing you with information about the Online Services or required notices;
  • detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, intellectual property infringement, violations of our Terms of Use, violations of law, or other misuse of the Online Services.

We respect your consent to have your information used only as you have intended it to be used and we keep our online services as separate as possible, (ie subscribing to our blog does not subscribe you to our Action Alerts, without explicit consent. You must opt-in to each online service, to the extent possible).

We only rent or exchange mailing lists we maintain that may include your Information, collected on the website or through any other activities, with other third parties we believe engage in activities that are not inconsistent with the mission and core beliefs of WOC. These lists do not include donors’ payment information, phone numbers or email addresses.

You may review, correct, delete, or otherwise modify any of the personal information that you have provided to us at any time.  You have the right to obtain your personal data in a machine readable, secure format within 30 days of request. Please contact woc@womensordination.org for any requests.

Please be aware that your use of our online services is not guaranteed to be anonymous, and WOC may collect, use, and disclose information about your use of the Online Services as set forth in this Privacy Policy. If there is a breach of security, WOC will notify proper authorities within 72 hours of the breach. In addition, WOC will notify all donors affected by any breach in data security.

Visiting our site: We and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information from your computer or mobile device over time and across different websites when you use the Online Services using cookies or similar technologies, such as your Internet Protocol address, your browser type, your operating system, the pages you view on the Online Services, etc. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you do not want the Online Services to collect information through the use of cookies, you can set your web browser to reject cookies from the Online Services.

By accessing the WOC Website, you agree that the terms, combined with your act of using the Website and/or services offered on or through the Website have the same legal force and effect as a written contract with your written signature and satisfy any laws that require a writing or signature, including any applicable statute of frauds.  You further agree that you shall not challenge the validity, enforceability or admissibility of the terms on the grounds that it was electronically transmitted or authorized. In addition, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to print the terms.

WOC may change this Privacy Policy and Terms of use at any time by posting the changed or amended Privacy Policy and Terms of Use on the Website.  Your continued viewing of or use of this Website following the posting of any changes to this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use will signify your assent to any such changes or amendments.

Our Commitment To Data Security: To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Security of Your Credit Card Information:  WOC uses a secure processor (Stripe) for all online donations. Credit card numbers are only used for donation or payment processing and are not retained for any other purposes. Links to Third Party Sites or Vendors: WOC uses third-party vendors to provide services on this website and in offline business operations. The information that you submit on this site may be provided to those vendors on a confidential basis so that those vendors can provide services (such as maintaining our database, sending email messages, facilitating fundraising activities, or processing credit card transactions) on our behalf.  We use the following third-party providers on this site:
