Outreach Coordinator

The Outreach Coordinator is a grant-funded position designed to develop and grow a women’s listening session initiative in Spanish-speaking Catholic parishes and groups throughout the U.S. This bilingual role combines community-organizing, pastoral leadership, and a commitment to honoring Catholic women’s voices and experiences.

This is a remote, temporary and part-time position with flexible hours (approximately 10 hours a week, concluding on December 13, 2019). Travel, weekend, and evening work will be required.

Hourly wage: $17-$20 depending on experience and schedule.

Reports to: Executive Director

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and lead a national outreach campaign to engage Spanish-speaking Catholic parish communities, local organizers, and Catholic women’s groups through networking and grassroots organizing.
  • Cultivate relationships and empower parishes to host listening sessions and complete an online survey addressing the pastoral needs of the community.
  • Host and facilitate listening sessions.
  • Develop outreach and promotional materials, including social media and website content, for the listening session project.

Position and Skills Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Catholicism and parish work in the United States. Pastoral work experience preferred.
  • Ability to facilitate volunteer-led planning and implementation of programs.
  • Spanish and English language fluency.
  • Professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to travel (valid U.S. Driver’s License or access to reliable transportation)
  • Experience with remote office tools such as Skype, Slack, and Google Docs.
  • Commitment to the Women’s Ordination Conference mission and vision to create a renewed and inclusive priesthood for women in the Roman Catholic Church and anti-racist/anti-oppression principles.
