I have been a member of WOC, a Board Member and now an Advisory Member. I have participated in the WOC Community for its 40 + years. I still remember vividly our excitement at Detroit for the first WOC Conference in November 1975. There were 1200 of us there.
WOC has been an enduring, faithful presence in our Church community and I am proud and privileged to be one with such a community. We have had giants among us who have had both vision and passion to birth, develop and deepen the life and spirit of WOC. Our very existence, our presence stands as a spirited movement that has been central to the renewal efforts of Vatican II in the 20th Century. WOC has been a part of two centuries; may it continue to perdure in the spirit of prophecy.
