Position Title: Office Manager

Reports to: Executive Director

Organizational Description: Women’s Ordination Conference (WOC) is a feminist non-profit organization that advocates and prays for the ordination and the full equality of women in an inclusive and accountable Roman Catholic Church.

Position Summary: The part-time office manager works to ensure financial stability, strengthen membership relations, and keep the DC office running smoothly and efficiently. This position is open immediately.

Hours: 5-10  per week (hours and scheduling are flexible)

Hourly Wage: $20-$23 per hour

Responsibilities and Duties:

Administrative: 

  • Organizes and maintains physical and digital filing systems.
  • Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications.
  • Works with the Executive Director to prepare correspondence, acknowledgements, and other mailings in a professional manner.
  • Collects mail and donations from the DC PO Box at least once a week and regularly mails acknowledgment letters and membership packets.
  • Responds or forwards any phone calls and messages to the Executive Director.
  • Makes regular bank deposits after recording donations in the membership database. 
  • Keeps the membership database updated and accurate, regularly running reports to maintain its integrity.
  • Stays abreast of WOC programming to support staff with ad-hoc logistics and projects as needed. 
  • Oversees inventories and equipment maintenance.

Financial & Bookkeeping: 

  • Works directly with WOC’s bookkeeper and the Executive Director to ensure accounting records are accurate.
  • Provides regular reports from membership database.

Qualifications:

  • Committed to supporting women’s equality in religion, including the Roman Catholic Church. 
  • Equipped with strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Confident with Google Drive, mail merges, Excel, remote office platforms, digital filing, and Little Green Light (or similar membership databases).
  • Able to work well alone as well as collaborate remotely. 
  • Able to make regular trips to the DC based PO Box and bank. At this time, the Office Manager has the option to work from home or the DC office, near the Dupont Circle Metro.
