1975 Circle

1975 Circle

The 1975 Circle is a community of generous partners who are helping to sustain and reinvigorate the work of the Women’s Ordination Conference.

Named for WOC’s founding year and inspired by the 1975 call “to name the injustice of exclusion and to speak with courage,” the Circle gathers those who choose to make an annual gift of $1,975 or more.

Membership in the 1975 Circle is not about status, but about shared commitment. The generosity of 1975 Circle members reflects a deep belief that change in the Roman Catholic Church is possible when many people pool their resources, imagination, and hope.

Annual Meeting

You are invited to join WOC leaders on an annual basis for a “pull back the curtain” conversation about the state of the organization and our future plans.

Regional Receptions

We launched the 1975 Circle in Washington, DC in 2026 and welcomed our founding members to a dinner reception. Each year, WOC  will invite 1975 members to a regional, celebratory gathering.

Strengthening our Future

1975 Circle members invest in WOC’s future in a serious way. Your generosity ensures our foundations are strong and we can respond to every challenge ahead of us. Your gift is a commitment to a future where women are truly equal in the Catholic Church.
