Local Leaders Unite!
WOC is proud to announce a new initiative to assist our
local leaders. The new “Local Leaders Network” will provide organizing
information and resources to WOC members who are currently organizing local
WOC activities, or are interested in starting a new local group. The “Local
Leaders Network” will also establish a stronger communication link between
the national office and the many activists working at the grassroots level
across the country.
Whether you have a group of 2 or 200, let us know who
and where you are!
If you are interested in joining the “Local Leaders
Network,” simply reply to this e-mail and include the following
information:
1. Your name, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail
2. Are you currently organizing activities with a local group? If so,
please provide examples of the types of events you have engaged in. Are
you interested in starting a new local WOC group? If so, what type of
assistance would you anticipate needing?
3. Can WOC post your contact information on our website, www.womensordination.org?
Can WOC share your contact information with other local leaders in the
network? Can WOC share your contact information with members of the press
in your area?
Join the new Local Leaders e-mail discussion list!
As part of the new initiative, WOC has also created
an on-line forum for leaders to share information and ideas about local
organizing. Join the new Local Leaders e-mail discussion group by sending
a blank e-mail to
WOClocalleaders-subscribe@topica.com.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail after you have been successfully
added to the list.
